What are the rules for using this fare product?

It is valid for 120 hours from the indicated start date and time (month, day, hour, minute) for an unlimited number of trips.

 

For what services is this fare product valid?

Within the administrative boundaries of Budapest for almost all BKK services and suburban buses (lines 1-99, 101-299, 900-999, M1, M2, M3, M4, D14), on HÉV suburban railway lines H5, H6, H7, H8, H9, as well as on trains of MÁV in 2nd class (except on trains with supplementary charges, but if the journey is only within Budapest, you can take any train and you do not need to pay a seat reservation) and selected suburban buses by VOLÁN and it is also accepted for one free roundtrip ride on the Chairlift in the Zugliget area of the Buda Hills operated by the Budapest Transport Company (BKV).

The valid Budapest Card also includes a single journey on regular heritage tram services running on routes along the Danube between May and October.

It is valid for 120 hours started from the indicated beginning point of time (month, day, hour, minute).

 

Official required ID to use the Budapest Card

The passport or photo ID card number of the person using the card and the start of validity (date and time) must appear on the card. Corrections cannot be made on the card because it renders the card invalid.

 

Is it transferable?

The card is personalised and non-transferable.
