Whether it’s a cruise on the Danube, a Chairlift ride, a visit to a museum or a soak in a thermal bath: with the Budapest Card, there are plenty of options to choose from for those wishing to explore Budapest during the autumn and winter months. What’s more, the card is available with a 10% discount from 4 November 2026 to 4 January 2027. One of the card’s key benefits is that it offers unlimited travel on the public transport network within Budapest’s administrative boundaries; it also provides access to a total of more than 40 attractions, including numerous cultural, tourist and leisure activities, with some offering discounts of between 10% and 25%.

Among the options available with the Budapest Card, the city attractions are particularly popular: according to BKK data, between May and September 2026, 59% of all redemptions were linked to a Budapest attraction, with the most popular venues including the Budapest History Museum, the Castle Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Hungarian National Museum, the Hungarian National Gallery, as well as the Lukács Thermal Baths and Swimming Pool.

The Budapest Card is available in versions with different durations, allowing visitors to tailor their purchase to their planned itinerary. Based on sales figures between May and October 2026, the 72-hour standard card is the most popular: three out of every ten cards purchased were of this type.

During the discount period, the card can be purchased online at the bkk.hu website, at BKK Customer Service Centres and ticket offices, from ticket vending machines, or from BKK’s official sales partners; from 1 December 2026, it will also be available via the BudapestGO app. The 10% discount applies to all types of Budapest Card. To claim the discounts, you must present your Budapest Card upon entry or when purchasing a ticket; on public transport, you must present it during ticket inspection.
