Budapest, 27 July 2022 - The Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix will be held at the Hungaroring race track in Mogyoród on Friday 29 July, Saturday 30 July and Sunday 31 July 2022. BKK Centre for Budapest Transport recommends the use of public transport: a ticket package for the race track can be purchased from BKK ticket vending machines in just a few touches.
During the race weekend of the 37th Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix, on 29, 30 and 31 July 2022, tickets can be easily purchased from BKK ticket vending machines (TVMs) in Örs vezér tere and Gödöllő to access the Hungaroring circuit. Customers using public transport can add two single tickets along with two suburban railway extension tickets to the basket at the same time for the return trip by selecting "Public transportation tickets to F1" on the initial screen of TVMs at the metro entrances at Örs vezér tere and at the circular building at the suburban railway (HÉV) terminus, as well as at the Gödöllő and Gödöllő, Szabadság tér stations on suburban railway line H8.
Suburban railway trains will run at higher capacity than usual during the race
Transport service provider MÁV-HÉV operating suburban railway services to the venue will be offering an extended timetable to help you get to the Hungaroring at the weekend of 29-30-31 July. H8 trains will run with increased capacity every 10 to 15 minutes during the periods when spectators go to and return from the race track.
Train departure times can be found at https://bkk.hu/en/timetables/ under H8. To plan your journey, we recommend the BudapestGO journey planner.
