Dohány street Synagogue

Dohány Street Synagogue is one of Budapest’s main tourist attractions, the largest synagogue in Europe and the second largest in the world. Built in 1859 in Moorish style, it can accommodate 3000 people. It was built by Ludwig Förster (1797-1863), a German architect and professor of the Vienna Academy.
