The House of Prayer was built in the medieval residential area of Buda's Jewish quarter. Its vault displays painted images from the 16th and 17th centuries, and a there is a collection of tombstones in the exhibition space. The walls of the House of Prayer reflect the life of the Jewish quarter of the Buda Castle during the Middle Ages and the Turkish occupation. Today, the exhibition hall also serves as a place of worship.
