MaaS4EU

Maas4EU

Project name: MaaS4EU (End-to-End Approach for Mobility-as-a-Service tools, business models, enabling framework and evidence for European seamless mobility)

Duration: 01/06/2017 - 31/10/2020

Description

The main objectives of the MaaS4EU project are to provide quantifiable evidence, frameworks and tools, remove barriers and promote the establishment of a cooperative, interlinked and unified EU transport market for the MaaS concept, by addressing the challenges of the following four pillars: entrepreneurial sphere, end users, technology and policies. This could be realised, by creating sustainable business models, which support cooperation among stakeholders in the transport sector, understanding users’ demands and decisions, the establishment of the required technology infrastructure (MaaS mobility centre) and also the identification of assisting policies and regulation.

In the project, Budapest is in charge of testing the solutions created by the consortium along with the partners, which is going to be realised in three parts: in relation to data collection, trips taken in the city and in the administrative area and also cross-border trips. The project’s subsequent outcome is to provide quantifiable evidence about the costs and advantages of MaaS in relation to three real complementary pilot areas, which demonstrate the application of the concept’s urban, inter-urban and also cross-border trips.
