Every year, the festive light fleet is one of Budapest's most beautiful and beloved Advent attractions: decorated trams, trolleybuses, and buses bring a special, warm atmosphere to everyday winter life. The vehicles, illuminated with kilometres of light strings, are not only beautiful, but also make travelling a special experience, whether you are on your usual route or enjoying a ride in the holiday spirit.
In 2025, in addition to the traditional festive light tram and Santa's Trolleybus, there will be five different trams sparkling with lights, a cogwheel train resplendent in festive lights, and Santa's Bus. You can travel on all lines at the normal fare, which means that if you have a valid ticket or pass, you do not need to buy a separate ticket to board.
