Duration: 01/10/2012 – 30/09/2015
Description
The TIDE project aims to examine the European dissemination of 15 innovative transport measures and procedures. Project partners are working in five thematic groups to develop implementation proposals for the selected measures. BKK plays a leading role in the group focused on public transport organization, with Vilnius and Bologna serving as follower cities. The professional support partner for this group is Gdansk University.
BKK is involved in the development of the first two of the following three innovative measures, while Vilnius and Bologna are responsible for the third:
- Establishing regional public transport organizing institutions
- Using market research tools as optimization instruments in public transport
- Service contracts focusing on improving passenger satisfaction and efficiency
The experiences and studies gained during the project will be utilized by BKK in the future for sustainable mobility planning, traffic modeling tasks, and applying insights from passenger satisfaction surveys.
