If you’re heading to the race, leave your car at home and choose public transport! With a 72-hour or longer-validity Budapest Card, your trip to the racetrack is completely free – read on to find out how best to get there.

Travel to the Hungaroring for free with the Budapest Card
Budapest’s official city card offers a wide range of free and discounted events for your visit. One of the key benefits is free access to public transport. During the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix, you can not only travel within the city for free but also reach the Hungaroring racetrack in the town of Mogyoród without buying an extra ticket – as long as you take public transport. Please note: this benefit is only available with a 72-hour or longer-validity Budapest Card.

How to reach the Hungaroring venue by public transport
The Hungaroring racetrack is located in Mogyoród: maps.app.goo.gl/MnYeNWo8w42oPVnWA
To get to the racetrack, take:
► the H8 suburban railway (HÉV) line from Örs vezér tere toward Kerepes, Mogyoród or Gödöllő, and ride it to Kerepes station
► from Kerepes HÉV station, a direct fan bus will take you to Gate 3 of the Hungaroring. The fan bus is free with a valid Formula 1 race ticket.
Heading back from the racetrack?
► The fan bus will take you from Gate 3 of the Hungaroring to Gödöllő railway station
► From Gödöllő, you can take the H8 HÉV train back to Örs vezér tere, or Hungarian State Railways to Keleti railway station
