Services according to the original timetables and routes:

Due to the closure of the bus terminus at the Margit körút side of the square and of Várfok utca between Csaba utca and Széll Kálmán tér, the stops, the boarding and drop-off points of the following lines change from 31 May 2015: buses 5, 16, 16A, 21, 21A, 22, 22A, 91, 102, 116, 128, 129, 149, 155, 156, 222, 916, 922, 956, 960 and 990. During the first days of the new traffic alignment, on-the-spot information on the location of the new boarding and drop-off points, and on the changes in the routes of the buses is provided by BKK staff.

New bus stops, served by several buses (BKK and regional buses as well) are installed on the road section between the junction of Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor and Széll Kálmán tér and the junction of Margit körút and Dékán utca.

The Széll Kálmán tér M stop of bus line 5 in the direction of Pasarét will be relocated to Krisztina körút ahead of the intersection of Csaba utca.

The Széll Kálmán tér M terminus of bus lines 16 and 16A will be relocated to Ostrom utca, past the intersection of Széna tér. Buses 16 and 16A will run on a diverted route towards Ostrom utca– Bécsi kapu tér and continue to run on their original routes serving the Mátray utca stop (in Ostrom utca, opposite the intersection of Szabó Ilonka utca).

Buses 16 and 16A in the direction of Széll Kálmán tér M will run on the route section of Várfok utca –Vérmező út serving the temporary Széll Kálmán tér M stop ahead of Vérmező út in Várfok utca from where the buses will run to their temporary terminus to Széna tér. The drop-off point of buses 16 and 16A will be found at the corner of Ostrom utca and Vérmező utca.

Bus 116 will run on a modified route in both directions:

• In the direction of Fény utcai piac, instead of the lower section of Várfok utca, bus 116 will run on the route section of Csaba utca– Kirisztina Körút–Széll Kálmán tér serving Várfok utca ahead of the intersection of Vérmező út. The stop in Várfok utca after the intersection of Csaba utca will no longer be served.
• In the direction of Dísz tér, the bus will run on a modified route on Fény utcai piac–Retek utca–Dékán utca–Széll Kálmán tér–Margit körút–Széna tér– Ostrom utca–Bécsi kapu tér, thus the Dékán utca, Széll Kálmán tér M (Csaba utca) and the Mátray utca stops will not be served. The following temporary stops will be served by bus 116 along the diverted route:
  • on Széll Kálmán tér, past the intersection of Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor
  • in Ostrom utca, past the intersection of Széna tér
  • in Ostrom utca, opposite the intersection of Szabó Ilonka utca

Terminus of bus lines 21 and 21A will be relocated to Várfok utca, ahead of the current terminus of bus lines 139, 140 and 140A.

Towards Csillebérc, KFKI and Normafa, buses run on their original route on Csaba utca–Krisztina körút.

Terminus of bus line group 22 will be relocated to the temporary boarding and drop-off point located on the connection road between the intersection of Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor-Széll Kálmán tér and the intersection of Margit körút-Dékán utca.

The Széll Kálmán tér stop of bus 91 running to Nyugati pályaudvar M and of bus 102 running to Zugliget, Libegő will be temporarily not served. Both of the bus lines stop in Csaba utca, ahead of the intersection of Krisztina körút, opposite the Városmajor church. The buses do not turn to Várfok utca.

Terminus of bus lines 128 and 129 will be relocated to Csaba utca, to the temporarily unused terminus of bus line 102.

• Buses to Széll Kálmán tér M will run in Csaba utca and from Krisztina körút will run on a modified route on Krisztina körút–Vérmező út–Várfok utca–Csaba utca. The following stops will be served on the diverted route:
  • in Csaba utca, ahead of the intersection of Krisztina körút, and
  • terminus of bus line 102
• Buses to Városkúti út and Széher út will run from the terminus of bus line 102 on their original route via Csaba utca.

Bus 149 will run on a shortened route from Fenyves utca to the Dékán utca stop in Retek utca. Bus 149 will not enter Széll Kálmán tér and will not serve the Széll Kálmán tér M terminus and the Fény utcai piac stop. In the direction of the Fenyves utca terminus, bus 149 will run from the Dékán utca temporary terminus on a modified route on Retek utca–Dékán utca–Széll Kálmán tér–Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor–Káplár utca–Fillér utca.

Bus 155 from Zugligeti út and bus 156 from Dániel út will run on an extended route to Széna tér.

• Buses to Zugligeti út and Dániel út will depart from the stop of bus 960 to Békásmegyer H next to the Volánbusz regional bus station and will run on a modified route on Széna tér–Margit körút–Bakfark Bálint utca–Varsányi Irén utca–Széna tér–Margit körút–Széll Kálmán tér–Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor, serving the following temporary stops:
  • Széna tér: stop of bus 960 to Békásmegyer H
  • Széll Kálmán tér M: stop of bus 39
• Buses to Széna tér will run on a modified route on Széll Kálmán tér–Margit körút–Széna tér, serving the following temporary stops:
  • Széll Kálmán tér M: temporary stop ahead of Dékán utca on the connection road between the intersection of Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor-Széll Kálmán tér and the intersection of Margit körút-Dékán utca.
  • Széna tér: stop of bus 960 to Békásmegyer H

Due to the reconstruction works on Széll Kálmán tér, also the stops of night buses will be relocated: terminus of bus lines 916 and 922 and stops in both directions of buses 956, 960 and 990 running via Széll Kálmán tér will be relocated to near the intersection of Krisztina körút and Csaba utca and will be close to one another. Please note that in this intersection you can transfer to other public transport lines easily and quickly.

Lines running on the joint route in similar direction serve the same stops:

• in the direction of Central and South-Buda, bus line 960 (Móricz Zsigmond körtér M) and bus line 990 (Normafa) will stop on Krisztina körút ahead of the intersection of Csaba utca to Déli pályaudvar
• in the direction of Észak-Buda, bus line 956 (Hűvösvölgy) and bus line 960 (Békásmegyer, Újmegyeri tér) will stop on Krisztina körút ahead of Csaba utca to Széll Kálmán tér
• in the direction of Pest, bus line 956 (Pécel) and bus line 990 (Rákoskeresztúr) will stop on Krisztina körút past the intersection of Csaba utca to Déli pályaudvar

In the direction of Uránia, bus line 916 will run in Ostrom utca instead of Várfok utca and will terminate in Várfok utca ahead of the intersection of Vérmező út.

• Bus line 916 to Uránia will run on a diverted route on Várfok utca–Vérmező út–Ostrom utca–Bécsi kapu tér from where will run on its original route, thus Széll Kálmán tér M and the Mátray utca stops will not be served. The following stops will be temporarily served on the diverted route:
  • Széll Kálmán tér M: in Várfok utca, ahead of the intersection of Vérmező utca,
  • Széll Kálmán tér M: in Ostrom utca, past the intersection of Széna tér
  • Mátray utca: in Ostrom utca, opposite the intersection of Szabó Ilonka utca
• Bus 916 to Széll Kálmán tér M will run on a diverted route via Várfok utca and will terminate temporarily in Várfok utca ahead of the intersection of Vérmező út.

Terminus of bus line 922 will be relocated to Csaba utca, to the temporarily unused terminus of bus line 102.

• from Budakeszi, bus line 922 will run on a diverted route from Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor on Krisztina körút–Vérmező út–Várfok utca–Csaba utca
• in the direction of Budakeszi, bus line 922 will depart from its temporary terminus and run on a diverted route on Csaba utca–Krisztina körút–Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor from where it will run on its original route. The buses will serve the terminus of bus line 22.

Bus line 956 in both directions will run on a modified route on Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor–Krisztina körút.

• in the direction of Pécel, Kun József utca, bus line 956 will not serve the Széll Kálmán tér M and Széll Kálmán tér M (Csaba utca) stops. Please note that the boarding point of bus line 956 on the directed route will be on Krisztina körút past the intersection of Csaba utca.
• in the direction of Hűvösvölgy, the bus will not serve its original Széll Kálmán tér M stops. The boarding point of bus line 956 on the diverted route will be at the temporarily relocated Széll Kálmán tér M stop of bus line 5, on Krisztina körút ahead of the intersection of Csaba utca.

To Békásmegyer H, bus 960 will stop on Krisztina körút, ahead of the intersection of Csaba utca and on Széll Kálmán tér past the intersection of Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor, instead of its original stop.

The route of bus line 990 will be modified in both directions, as follows:

• in the direction of Rákoskeresztúr, bus line 990 will run on a modified route on Krisztina körút–Vérmező út–Várfok utca–Csaba utca–Krisztina körút–Vérmező út–Széna tér–Hattyú utca and will not serve its Széll Kálmán tér M stop. On the diverted route, the following temporary stops will be served:
  • Széll Kálmán tér M (Csaba utca): on Krisztina körút, past the intersection of Csaba utca
  • Széll Kálmán tér M: stop of bus line 39 on Vérmező út
• in the direction of Normafa, its stop next to the refurbished terminus of tram lines 4 and 6 will not be served on Széll Kálmán tér. On Széll Kálmán tér, bus line 990 will continue to serve the stop of bus line 39 ahead of the intersection of Dékán utca, while on Krisztina körút bus line 990 will serve stop of bus line 5 ahead of Csaba utca.
