No access to Margit körút from Ostrom utca between 20 and 26 November 2015 and route change of bus line 116

From 20 November (Friday) to 26 November (Thursday) 2015, bus 116 to the Dísz tér terminus will run from the Fény utcai piac on the route section Retek utca utca–Fillér utca–Ezredes utca–Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor–Krisztina körút–Vérmező út–Széna tér–Ostrom utca–Bécsi kapu tér from where it will run on its original route. Bus 116 will serve the following stops:

  • Fény utcai piac: its own stop and the stop of bus 149
  • Széll Kálmán tér M: the temporary boarding point of buses 16 and 16A in Ostrom utca
  • Mátray utca: shared bus stop of buses 16 and 16A in Ostrom utca opposite the intersection of Szabó Ilonka utca
  • from the Bécsi kapu tér stop, bus 116 will run on its original route.

This traffic restriction does not apply to the services (routes and stops) of bus 116 to Fény utcai piac.

Travel conditions to improve in the Széll Kálmán tér area from Monday, 16 November 2015

The terminus of buses 21 and 21A will be relocated to the lower section of Várfok utca, ahead of the intersection with Csaba utca on Sunday, 15 November at 1 p.m.

139,140,140A,142

The terminus of the above buses will be relocated to the lower section of Várfok utca, on the road section between Csaba utca and Széll Kálmán tér from the first scheduled departure on Monday, 16 November.

Metro line M2 will be skipping Széll Kálmán tér metro station at three consecutive weekends

At three consecutive weekends, on 14–15, 21–22 and on 28–29 November 2015 metro line M2 runs on its entire route between Örs vezér tere and Déli pályaudvar, but will not stop at Széll Kálmán tér metro station. Széll Kálmán tér is accessible by replacement bus M2 running between Batthyány tér M+H and Széll Kálmán tér M, by bus 39, 22, 22A or 222, the latter three running on an extended route between their Budakeszi terminuses and Batthyány tér.

For those travelling from Örs vezér tér to Széll Kálmán tér it is recommended to board either replacement bus M2, bus 39, 22, 22A or 222. At Batthyány tér

  • replacement bus M2 serves the stop in front of the terminus of buses 160 and 260,
  • bus 22, 22A or 222 all running on an extended route serve the terminus of bus 39.

Replacement bus M2, buses 22, 22A, 222 and 39 serve the stop of buses 17 and 86 at Batthyány tér. The terminus of these buses is located at the stop of buses 39 and 116 at Széll Kálmán tér.

For those travelling from Déli pályaudvar M by metro to Széll Kálmán tér it is recommended to take tram 18, 59 or 61 instead of metro line M2. However buses 21, 21A, 39, 91, 102, 139, 140 and 140A provide connection between Déli pályaudvar M and Széll Kálmán tér M.

For those travelling from Széll Kálmán tér to Batthyány tér or further to Örs vezér tere M+H by metro line M2 it is recommended to take replacement bus M2, bus 22, 22A, 222 or 39 to Batthyány tér M+H where metro line M2 is available.

Passengers who normally transfer from trams 18, 59 and 61 or buses 21, 21A, 91, 102, 139, 140 and 140A to metro line M2 at Széll Kálmán tér are advised to travel to Déli pályaudvar instead and change there.

All other tram and bus lines serving Széll Kálmán tér operate as usual.

No further changes apply to public transport alignment in place since 18 October 2015.
