No access to Margit körút from Ostrom utca between 20 and 26 November 2015 and route change of bus line 116
From Friday 20 November 2015 to Thursday 26 November 2015, utility works will be carried out on Széna tér at the intersection with Ostrom utca. During this period, the exit to Margit körút from Ostrom utca from the direction of Batthyány utca will be closed. To access Margit körút please use the Várfok utca–Vérmező út route. Ostrom utca is still accessible from Vérmező út, but access from Széll Kálmán tér is temporarily not possible.
Travel conditions to improve in the Széll Kálmán tér area from Monday, 16 November 2015
From Sunday afternoon on 15 November 2015, the Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor–Széll Kálmán tér–Krisztina körút junction will be reopened with two lanes in both directions on the Krisztina körút–Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor route and also left turns from Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor to Széll Kálmán tér will be possible again. Dékán utca is reopened in both directions. The lower section of Várfok utca is one-way to Csaba utca again while Csaba utca between Várfok utca and Krisztina körút is one-way to the latter. Temporary left turns from Krisztina körút into Csaba utca will no longer be possible.
On Friday, 13 November, and at the weekend road surfacing works will be carried out in Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor at its junction with the square, therefore only one lane will be open on the Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor–Krisztina körút route.
On 14 November 14, in the northern area of the square, asphalt surface will be laid on the road section between Dékán utca and Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor. The works affect the Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor–Széll Kálmán tér–Krisztina körút junction: in the morning two lanes remain open, but in the afternoon during some work phases only one lane will be open from Margit körút to Krisztina körút. On Saturday, motorists arriving from Krisztina körút will not be able to turn left into Dékán utca so they are advised to take the Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor–Káplár utca–Fillér utca–Fény utca detour.
On 14 and 15 November, two lanes will be closed out of the three at the junction of Vérmező út and Széna tér inconveniencing motorists coming from Krisztina körút towards Margit körút.
We kindly ask cyclists to use the bypasses during the reconstruction of Széll Kálmán tér.
The area will be accessible for cyclists from the spring of 2016.
