From 26 June to 6 July 2015 – Pedestrians, motorists, cyclists, chairlift
From Friday evening on 26 June 2015 until the early morning hours on Monday 29 June 2015, will be open only one-way going in the direction of Retek utca. Due to the restriction, those coming from Fillér utca can turn only to the left from Retek utca toward Fény utca. Only the even-numbered side of Dékán utca (the side closer to Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor) remains open to pedestrians while access to the shops on the other side will also be ensured. From 29 June 2015 (Monday) Dékán utca will be reopened to two-way traffic, however, with narrow lanes until approximately 3 July 2015 (Friday): a pedestrian footpath will be separated from the road to allow access for passengers on the odd-numbered side of the street as well.
From Monday, 29 June 2015, construction will commence in the Margit körút–Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor–Krisztina körút junction, with works concentrating on the side of the road closer to the sidewalk. Thanks to the new traffic alignment motorists will be able to use a dedicated lane to Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor until circa Sunday, 5 July, which will result in less congestion.
Also from Monday, 29 June 2015 until approximately Tuesday, 21 July 2015 a circa 60-80 metre-long section of the right lane of Krisztina körút to Széll Kálmán tér will be closed due to water-pipe construction near the intersection with Hajnóczy utca. Additionally, the sidewalk on Vérmező út will be reopened to pedestrians, while due to construction two narrowed lanes remain to be used by motorists going to Széna tér. At the Vérmező út -Várfok utca junction one lane will be closed, therefore the central lane can be used for turning into Várfok utca, to Széna tér only the right lane will be open, but after passing the junction two lanes can be used again to reach Széna tér. Traffic lights are already operating at the junction. Please note that significant congestion can be expected both on Krisztina körút to Széll Kálmán tér and on Vérmező út.
