Informaton on fares

The necessary transfer between the two route sections of tram 61 is not considered to be a trip interruption. With a valid transfer ticket or a single ticket (also with one from a block of 10) there is no need to validate another ticket when transferring. The valid single ticket (also with one from a block of 10) must be validated again at the other end without the printed number grid after transferring (in this case the single ticket must be torn out from the block). The valid transfer ticket is not necessary to be re-validated when transferring between the route sections, since the number grids are printed on both ends.

When travelling on both route sections of tram 61 a second transfer – a third boarding – may be necessary. In this case the double-validated single ticket (also the one from a block of 10) need not be validated again. The short-section metro ticket must be validated at the end without the printed number grids when transferring between the metro line and the metro replacement bus or vice versa.

Since trams 59 and 61 are out of service on some of their route sections, it is only possible to travel with buses 5, 22, 22A, 91, 102, 155, 156, 222 instead.

  • Bus 5 between the stops Városmajor and Körmöci utca
  • Buses 22, 22A, 155, 156 and 222 between Szent János kórház and Széll Kálmán tér M
  • Buses 91 and 102 are considered to be tram replacement buses between Szent János kórház and Nagyenyed utca, thus

transferring between tram 59 and the above listed buses or vice versa are not considered to be a trip interruption. The transfer is permitted only at Széll Kálmán tér. The ticket validated on tram 59 is valid only for the route section of Széll Kálmán tér M – Szent János kórház.
