Slight traffic alignment change affecting public road and night transport services on Széll Kálmán tér

On 10 October (Saturday), passengers can board night buses 956, 960 and 990 again on the platform situated next to the drop-off point of trams 4 and 6 from their first night-time departure, resulting in less walk and making transfer more comfortable to tram 6 at night. You can have a look at the relocated stops in Széll Kálmán tér of the above-mentioned bus lines on the attached map.

From 13 September 2015 one-way traffic order applies in Dékán utca towards Fény utca, buses 116 and 149 temporarily run on diverted routes

From Sunday, 13 September 2015 one-way traffic order applies in Dékán utca towards Fény utca and the two lanes from Margit körút towards Krisztina körút are diverted due to public utility and road construction works between Dékán utca and Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor. Motorists arriving from Fillér utca can reach Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor via Ezredes utca, while for those arriving from Fillér utca to the Retek utca–Dékán utca–Fény utca junction the duration of the green light is extended, enabling more vehicles to turn left towards Fény utca. Due to the new traffic alignment, buses 116 and 149 run on modified routes.

From Monday, 14 September 2015 bus 116 to Dísz tér runs via Retek utca–Fillér utca–Ezredes utca–Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor–Széll Kálmán tér–Margit körút–Széna tér–Ostrom utca between Fény utcai piac and Bécsi kapu tér, not serving Dékán utca, Széll Kálmán tér M and Mátray utca stops. Bus 116 serves the following stops on the modified route section:

• Fény utcai piac: original terminus,
• Széll Kálmán tér M: on Margit körút past the pedestrian crossing,
• Széll Kálmán tér M: the temporary boarding point of buses 16 and 116 in Ostrom utca,
• Mátray utca: the temporary stop of buses 16 and 16A in Ostrom utca, opposite the intersection of Szabó Ilonka utca.

The route of bus 116 to Fény utcai piac is not modified at all.

From Sunday, 13 September 2015 bus 149 runs from Fillér utca towards Széll Kálmán tér M on a modified route via Ezredes utca–Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor–Széll Kálmán tér–Dékán utca–Retek utca to Fény utcai piac temporary terminus, not serving the Dékán utca and the Széll Kálmán tér M stops. On the modified route section bus 149 serves the temporary Széll Kálmán tér M stop (on the corner of Dékán utca).

Bus 149 departing from Fény utcai piac terminus to Fenyves utca reaches its original route on a modified route section via Retek utca–Fillér utca, therefore the Széll Kálmán tér M stop is not served in this direction.

Minor traffic changes at Széll Kálmán tér from the end of August

From 31 August 2015 (Monday) the terminus of buses 22, 22A and 222 is reinstated to its previous location on Margit körút, next to the drop-off point of trams 4 and 6. The terminus of buses 155 and 156 is relocated from Széna tér to Margit körút, next to the drop-off point of trams 4 and 6, behind the drop-off point of buses 22, 22A and 222.

From the night of 31 August/1 September (Monday/Tuesday) bus 922 runs on its original route again. The terminus of the night bus is on Margit körút, next to the drop-off point of trams 4 and 6, where buses 22, 22A and 222 also stop. Bus 922 departing from Széll Kálmán tér M terminus to Dózsa György tér serves the Széll Kálmán tér M stop of buses 960 and 990 (ahead of the intersection of Dékán utca).

From 31 August (Monday) tram 61 departing from Hűvösvölgy also serves Széll Kálmán tér therefore the transfer time is reduced significantly

From 31 August (Monday) the temporary terminus of tram 61 departing from Hűvösvölgy is relocated next to the terminus of trams 4 and 6 on Széll Kálmán tér therefore the transfer time is reduced significantly as the square refurbishment continues: trams 4 and 6, metro line M2 and the buses departing from or serving Széll Kálmán tér are accessible with less walk. Due to the preparation works of the new temporary terminus of tram 61 from 27 August (Thursday) until 30 August (Sunday) replacement bus 61 runs instead of the tram between Hűvösvölgy and Déli pályaudvar M. No changes apply to the service on the southern route section of tram 61, it continues to run between the Széll Kálmán tér M temporary terminus and Móricz Zsigmond körtér.

Service on the Hűvösvölgy section of tram 61 from 31 August

From 31 August (Monday) the temporary Széll Kálmán tér M terminus of tram 61 departing from Hűvösvölgy is relocated to the Margit körút side of the square next to the terminus of trams 4 and 6, therefore the transfer time is reduced significantly:

• Trams 4 and 6 are accessible on the other side of the platform.
• Metro line M2 is accessible on foot in 2–3 minutes.
• Buses departing from or serving Széll Kálmán tér are also accessible more easily.

No changes apply to the service on the southern route section of tram 61, it continues to run between the Széll Kálmán tér M temporary terminus and Móricz Zsigmond körtér.

Service on the Hűvösvölgy section of tram 61 between 27 and 30 August

From the first departure on 27 August (Thursday) until the last departure on 30 August (Sunday) replacement bus 61 runs instead of tram 61 on the northern, Hűvösvölgy section between Hűvösvölgy and Déli pályaudvar M.
