The printed version of the most up-to-date map by BKK Centre for Budapest Transport showing the current public transport network including night lines is now available at the mobility manager’s customer service centres while BKK’s online maps continue to assist customers in their orientation
In addition to the “pocket maps” that have been available for a while, new large-sized maps are now also obtainable, which give an overview of the complete and current public transport network in the capital city: they contain all metro, suburban railway, tram, trolleybus and bus lines including the Funicular and the Chairlift that are relevant for tourists and hikers, as well as the scheduled boat services. According to tradition, inner-city areas are shown in more detail and the night transport network is featured separately. On the back side of the map, the lines’ terminuses and frequencies are listed.
The conventional-style map has a size of 66 x 91 cm (259 x35.8 inches) when folded open and 11 x 22 cm (4.3 x 8.6 inches) when closed. 23 thousand copies have been printed and are obtainable for free at BKK customer service points while stocks last.
Online maps are still available
In addition to the new publication, customers are also encouraged to use the maps on BKK’s website. Among the nearly 30 types of online maps, network maps of different city districts, of fixed-rail lines and of night lines can be found while separate maps feature MOL Bubi docking stations, P+R car parks and proposed parking spaces for tour buses. Additionally, BKK’s journey planner can be used on your desktop computer, tablet or smartphone. Customers can track the lines’ real-time locations online at futar.bkk.hu or on iOS, Android and Windows mobile platforms with the help of the downloadable FUTÁR application.
